The Classics consists of writings that have
been eithere handed down our published the last 400 years,
They are used by the practioner to start to understand the
theory behind Taiji. Like most text in china it is very simple
to read but one has to expeirence what you are reading to
understand.
You may need to not only read several times to understand
but actually go through the process of self realization. i
usually say to my students when you get a "ah ha thats
what there talking about...." you are on the right road.
soem of the text appears to be very simple yet is profoundly
deep. Like most taoist text it was written in a way for the
expeirnce practioner to understand and not just the layman.
Take one of my favorites from the taoist classic Tao Te Ching-
In the pursuit of learning, everyday something is acquired.
In the pursuit of Tao, every day something is dropped,
less and less is done
until non-action is acheived.
when nothing is done, nothing is left undone.
The world is ruled by letting thinkgstake their course
it cannot be ruled by interfering-
